HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM The Breakers Lacrosse Club High School program will run in the summer of 2008. Players will be evaluated in February of 2008. Teams will hold practices beginning in early summer and compete in several tournaments during the summer. A tentative schedule is listed below. There will be a U17 and U19 team this summer. Open tryouts will be held for the U17 team. Both individual and team development will be emphasized during this program.COLLEGE RECRUITING/SELECTION PROCESS The Breakers Lacrosse Club will give significant attention given to the college recruiting process. As players progress through the program coaches will discuss what each player should be doing at that particular time. They will be advised on the protocol they should be following and how to make contact with coaches. The coaches will work as liaison between the players and the college coaches.
EVALUATIONS/TEAM PLACEMENT Evaluations for the Breakers Lacrosse Club will be held onn February 3 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) & 10 (10:30 AM - Noon), 2008 at St. Paul's School. Evaluations will be open to all players submitting a registration form. The Breakers will field one U17 team for the spring and summer of 2008. Players will be selected based on their ability. Tryout Times Sunday, February 3, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 10:30 AM - Noon _______________________________________________ March, April and May practices will run from 9:30-11:30 AM. _________________________________________________ June and July practices will run from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
TOURNAMENTS The Breakers Lacrosse Club U17 team will participate in four tournaments. The website for each tournament is listed below. Schedules will be posted on these websites. Hotel Information and directions are also on the websites. Summer Exposure is located in Annapolis, MD. Summer Getaway is in Alexandria, VA. Hotel information is on the website. The Tri State Lacrosse Tournament is held near Princeton, NJ. Summer Sizzle will be held locally at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, St. Paul's School and St. Timothy's School. FEES & REGISTRATION The registration fees for the Breakers Lacrosse Club High School programs are as follows: U17 - $900.00 This fee includes all field rentals, communication fees, coaching fees, adminsitrative fees, supplies, tournament registration fees, and a reversible. New players will be responsible for purchasing a uniform. Players will also be responsible for travel fees, meals and accommodations. All players must be members of US Lacrosse. If a player is not a member of US he can register online. NO registration form will be accepted without a current US Lacrosse number. Click here to register online with US Lacrosse. As waivers for each individual tournament are available, they will be placed on this website. Players will be responsible for downloading the form and returning it to their coach at practice. Equipment A limited amount of Breakers equipment will be available to players. Equipment will be sold on a first come basis at the first practice.
