2009 Brine Summer Sizzle Lacrosse Tournament

All Summer Sizzle venues are smoke free and pet free venues. Thank you for respecting our fans and players!

No grills of any kind are allowed at any venue.

All Summer Sizzle Divisions are full at this time with the exception of U13 B (1 spot left). If your team would like to be put on a wait list for a division please send us a registration form. If a spot opens we will notify you immediately.

We hope to have all schedules posted by Tuesday, July 7, 2009 (maybe sooner). Please check back then.

The Brine Summer Sizzle Lacrosse Tournament is a competitive lacrosse tournament for BOYS Middle School and High School lacrosse teams. There is one U11 division, A & B divisions for U13 and U15 age groups and A & B divisions for High School. The tournament will be held at Maryland State Fairgrounds , St. Paul's School, Cedar Lane Regional Park (HS), and Genesee Valley Fields in Parkton, MD from July 17-19, 2009. Awards will be presented to the first and second place teams in each division. College coaches from Division I, II and III schools will be well represented at the tournament.

This year's tournament will be one of the largest and most competitive middle school and high school lacrosse tournaments in the country. Space in the tournament is very limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come basis. It is anticipated that the tournament will fill very quickly after registration begins.

High School teams will play all games at Cedar Lane Park. This is a brand new 13 field facility in Bel Air, MD. Directions to the fields can be found here.

A $400.00 nonrefundable deposit will hold a team's spot in the tournament unitl June 1, 2009 at which time nonrefundable full payment will be due.

All parents/players should complete a Waiver of Liability/Medical Release Form. These should be turned in at the registration desk, as a team, prior to the team's first game.

All teams need to submit a complete roster by July 1, 2009. These rosters can be emailed, in EXCEL format only, to info@summersizzlelax.com. Rosters should include players uniform #, name, address, DOB, school, graduation year, phone # and parent's email address. Rosters for High School teams submitted on our team information sheet will be compiled into one, easy to use, spreadsheet and supplied to all college coaches.

DKJK Lewis Media will be offering video taping services for High School teams at Summer Sizzle. DKJK Lewis Media will record each game at the event in which the participating team plays. In addition, they will provide the following:

Coverage of playoff games in which the team plays
20 DVD copies of each game recorded including playoff games
1 free month of Online game access for game participants through Archiva Sports. A team password will be provided
Online Access includes the ability to watch your games online and make highlight clips to store online
Option to subscribe to a personal online account which will allow you to download video and email highlight clips or full games to anyone with internet access
Customer service through DKJK Lewis Media including directions for online service

Roster Notes

No player may compete, or be rostered, on more than one team during the tournament. Any team with a player in violation of this rule will forfeit all games in which the player is known to have competed and forfeit the opportunity to advance to the playoff round.
Any player that has competed in High School (Club, Fresh/Soph, JV or Varsity) must compete in the High School division. They are ineligible to compete at the U15 level.
U11 player must have been born in 1998 or 1999 (or later).
U13 players must have been born in 1996 or 1997 (or later).
U15 players must have been born in 1994 or 1995 (or later).
No High School Graduates are eligible.

Brine Summer Sizzle is a Tournament of Champions Qualifying Event. The top teams in the High School A Division will be invited to attend the Tournament of Champions - the Boys High School Club Lacrosse National Championship!
